nature morte vivante

Surely the most preoccupying question in human history, the one that keeps the various branches of natural and social science in constant motion: existence. Existence itself has been explained and accepted in countless ways: in the history of religion, for example, countless belief systems and mythologies offer different explanations; in biology, for example, Darwin's theory of evolution is to be believed; and ontology, or the philosophy of existence, has been the cornerstone and most controversial topic of the humanities since Platon.
However, the inevitability of existence that most of us struggle to accept, despite the fact that it will come anyway and in any case: the end. Our joint work with Richár Matisz is born out of the melancholy associated with the awareness of death, inevitable in the cycle of life, while trying to euphemise the theme of passing away in the lyrical language of nature. The paradox in the title : nature morte vivante, the liveliness of dead nature. However, the installation not only rethinks the role of the materialised natural elements, highlighting their aliveness and mobility, but also points to the bitter human ecological crisis of our time.
